Hemel Hempstead woman who helped 14 cats find forever homes plans skydive fundraiser
A former charity volunteer in Hemel Hempstead has set herself a new challenge to help abandoned pets.
Bryony, who previously helped the charity as a volunteer, is completing a skydive to raise funds for Animal Support Angels.
Animal Support Angels is a not-for-profit organisation that was launched in Hemel Hempstead in 2019 to support abandoned cats and help them find new forever homes.
Volunteers and staff at the charity provide transport for sick or injured animals and also co-ordinates with other charities to participate in larger animal rescue missions.

Animal Support Angels was founded by Amanda Broome and the charity remains in contact with a number of other rescue groups both locally and nationally.
Bryony writes in her fundraiser, which can be found here on GoFundMe: “I've always loved animals, more specifically the feline variety. I rescued my beautiful Tilly from a small rescue in Yorkshire 10 years ago. Before committing to welcoming four more paws, I wanted to foster and see how Tilly would behave. That led me to Amanda and her amazing charity.
"I saw first hand the amazing work her amazing team of fosters and volunteers do. I started fostering, in one year I helped 14 cats find their forever home. To be a part of that process was so special. So much so, that in March 2025 I fell in love with the cheekiest of boys - a chocolate British Shorthair - Teaser. He'd been with me only a few days when I knew he was the one!”
Bryony said that although she can no longer assist in a fostering role she still supports the charity as a volunteer. The sky dive is scheduled to take place on March 7.
