Hemel Hempstead shopping centre offers online entertainment for children over half term holidays

Families in Hemel Hempstead can join in with some free virtual fun this February half-term with The Marlowes Shopping Centre.

Offering live entertainment to the little ones of Hemel, The Marlowes will be bringing back the fun this February half-term with five days of jam-packed virtual sessions on its Facebook page.Available to watch live on the centre’s Facebook daily from 11am from Monday, February 15, the free entertainment is aimed at primary school age children with each virtual session lasting around 35 minutes.

As part of The Marlowe’s Kids Club, children can expect to enjoy a range of fun activities.

From virtually meeting some creepy crawlies and other interesting animals, including lorikeets and chinchillas, to learning the tricks of the trade and taking part in their very own magic show.

For those who can’t make the live sessions there is no need to worry, with the centre uploading the videos onto their IGTV channel on Instagram.

> Tuesday February 16 - Pancake Fun

> Wednesday February 17 - Magic Show

> Thursday, February 18 – Dance Party

> Friday, February 19 - Party Time.

The Marlowes will also have a range of downloadable activity and colouring sheets on their website for children to enjoy.

Lavinia Douglass, marketing manager at The Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, said: “After what’s seemed a long school term for many parents with the ongoing juggling of home-schooling and working, we’re thrilled to be able to announce our line up of free half-term fun for the little ones of Hemel Hempstead to enjoy.

"The virtual Facebook sessions allow parents to sit back and relax with children being invited to enjoy a variety of entertainment every day during the half-term.

“Our very own entertainer will be on hand to supply guaranteed fun and laughter with sessions including pancake making, dance parties and meeting animals.

" For those who can’t make the 11am timeslot we’ll be uploading the videos onto our IGTV channel, available to watch and enjoy at a time that’s convenient for them.”
