Hemel Hempstead Recycling Centre moves to winter opening hours

Dacorum Borough Council is reminding residents that from October 1, to March 31, the Hemel Hempstead Recycling Centre has changed to the winter opening times.

The centre, in Hemel Hempstead Industrial Estate, will remain closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and will be open from 8am till 4pm the rest of the week.

From April 1, 2021, summer opening times of 10am till 6pm will resume.

If visiting the Recycling Centre in a van or trailer, residents will need to apply online for an instant, digital van permit.

Permits are free and are valid for 12 visits within a 12 month period. Business waste is not accepted at any of the Recycling Centres. Only a limited amount of DIY waste is accepted.

Residents can also check for queues at the Recycling Centre online before they make the trip.
