Olly was taken to hospital following the incident, but died of his injuries on Tuesday November 4.

Lewis was arrested by police the day after the assault.

Detective Inspector Caeva Taylor from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit said: “David Lewis’s behaviour could not have been further from the spirit of a charity event.

“He took Olly’s life and shattered many more lives in doing so.

“My thoughts are with Olly’s family and friends as they continue coming to terms with the shock of his death.”

Lewis was bailed by Luton Crown Court and will be sentenced on March 25.

Olly’s family have requested that their privacy is respected at this time.
