With Halloween looking a little different this year, an online toy retailer is encouraging families in Hemel Hempstead and the surrounding areas to enter a Halloween inspired competition.

Bargain Max are asking children aged up to 16 to recreate their favourite Halloween character or film scene using toys around the home.

Parents are being encouraged to enter their children's homemade spooky creations by submitting a photo of their creation via Facebook for a chance to win one of three prizes, with a £100 Bargain Max gift voucher up for grabs as the top prize.

To be in with a chance of winning one of three fantastic prizes, the creations will need to be original and recreate a Halloween movie scene or character using toys, as well using other materials to bring your child’s vision to life.

For example, you could transform a barbie into a witch from Hocus Pocus by creating an outfit for her to wear. Or, use slime to create your favourite Ghostbusters character!

The competition closes October 18, which will be followed by a shortlisting stage before the three winners are finally chosen.

A spokesperson for Bargain Max said: "What a fun and fantastic way to get your children excited for Halloween by entering our spooky competition.

"We are looking for any recreation of any Halloween movie scene or character featuring your child’s toys, and that could be a variety of things from dolls, teddies or slime, to crafty entries such as Lego designs!

“The competition is open to children aged 0-16, but we please ask that it is the parent or guardian who enters their children's creations via Facebook. Very best of luck to everyone and we hope it brings you lots of fun!”
