Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust takes to the road to help Covid-19 patients thanks to leading healthcare provider

A healthcare company has supplied Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) with lifesaving equipment to enable them to transfer Covid-19 patients between hospitals.

B. Braun Medical Ltd has supplied six syringe pumps to allow medics to maintain hospital-level care while transferring seriously ill patients by road.

The pumps allow vital drugs to be safely administered.

Ben Myer, Clinical Manager, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance said: “EHAAT continue to support the regional and national effort to respond, not only to those with critical injury and illness, but also now to be able to transfer Covid-19 patients by road between hospitals depending on their clinical need.

"There has been massive support from many suppliers, one of these being B. Braun, who have supplied us with six syringe pumps that will allow us to maintain hospital level care while we transfer these patients.
