Easter activities for all the family with Rennie Grove
From a virtual balloon race to an Easter egg hunt and an online bingo event - there is something for everyone
Rennie Grove has plenty to keep the whole family entertained this Easter.
From virtual balloon races, Easter egg hunts, an Easter themed quiz and an online bingo event, the charity has all bases covered.
Gemma Ralph, senior community fundraiser, said: “We wanted to create some fun activities that would appeal to people of all ages and enable them to do something fun together.
"Although children are back at school and some lockdown restrictions are set to ease later this month, it’s still not going to be your typical Easter.
"With our bumper crop of Easter-themed activities, you can connect with the people you care about and raise vital funds for families facing life-limiting illness at this particularly difficult time.”
The charity has compiled a 12-page activity pack for children, downloadable from its website for a minimum donation of £5.
With instructions on how to make your own Easter bunting, a recipe for chocolate crispie cakes, word searches and other games, plus an ‘egg-sclusive’ treasure hunt-style Easter egg hunt with rhyming clues to hide around your home, the pack makes the perfect Easter holiday companion for kids and parents alike.
There’s also a virtual raffle, with tickets available to buy online for just £1 each, and an Easter-themed foodie hamper up for grabs.
You can download an Easter quiz for a £5 minimum donation too, with six rounds of ten questions plus two picture rounds, perfect for younger family members, featuring guess the chocolate bar and the Disney film.
It’s eyes down for the charity’s hugely popular virtual bingo night, returning for the last time until the autumn on Friday, April 16. Join professional bingo caller Tom and up to 100 fellow bingo fans at 6.30pm for four games for £5.
You can even track your own balloon in a computer-simulated seven-day balloon race. Personalise the colour, shape, size, style of your balloon and watch it take to the (virtual) skies from the Old City of Jerusalem at noon on Easter Sunday.
