Bovingdon hosts stunt rehearsals for new Spider-Man film out this week
Bovingdon has hosted stunt rehearsals for the new Spider-Man film which has been released this week.
The stunt rehearsals for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland as the superhero, took place at Space Film Studios in the town.

Dacorum Borough Council says the space provided ‘a secure and private space’ for the stunt team to undertake preparations for the film’s action sequences, which were later filmed on location in Glasgow.
Universal Pixels, a video and film production company based in Tring, also provided assistance to the film with their specialist projection team helping to create in-camera visual effects, including for the film’s opening scenes.
In a statement Dacorum Borough Council said: “It's fantastic to see world-class films choosing Dacorum’s film studios, specialist suppliers and locations.
“Visiting productions help support the local economy, create opportunities for local businesses, and reinforce Dacorum's reputation as a film-friendly borough.”
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the fourth film in the Spider-Man series and follows the character of Spider-Man/Peter Parker as he intervenes after a tank rampages through New York City and damages the Department of Damage Control building.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the latest in a series of films to be partially shot across Dacorum, with part of the third Knives Out filmed at Waterstones bookshop in the Riverside Shopping Centre in Hemel Hempstead in August 2024, while scenes from the Hollywood film Project Hail Mary, which stars Ryan Gosling, were shot at the Hemel Hempstead School in the summer of the same year.
