Berkhamsted Post Office manager celebrates 30 years service

The manager of Berkhamsted Post Office is celebrating 30 years service this December.

Mandy Perkins, who runs the branch on the High Street, was presented with an award by the area manager for Post Office Counters, to recognise her long service achievement.

The Post Office, in Way Inn, has been open full time during the pandemic, providing a vital service to the local community.

Sarah Harding, who works for Mandy, said: "She is an absolute star who works tirelessly to ensure the people of Berkhamsted are happy.

"She has worked at that branch for 30 years, that's quite an achievement and she is such a lovely lady.

"I feel this award should be recognised, she is a wonderful person and it is well deserved."

Although Mandy had no idea she was getting the award, she did say to Sarah: "We are all very lucky that we work in such a great town surrounded by lovely people."
