Vox Pop: Are you dreaming of a White Christmas?

Reporter Victoria Bull poke to shoppers buying last-minute Christmas gifts in the Marlowes Shopping Centre.

Jenny Lawrence, Alexandra Road: ‘I can’t remember a white Christmas, not in my 87 years. Even though it’s getting much colder, I don’t see us having any snow on Christmas this year.’

Alan Thake, near the Snow Centre: ‘I can remember a white Boxing Day, during the ‘big freeze’ while I was still at school. The snow stayed there almost until Easter. I don’t mind snow – I take the dog out in it and he loves it.’

Jason Booker, Redbourn: ‘I have some memories of white Christmases – I’m sure I must have experienced one but I can’t remember it specifically. I don’t think we’ll get one this year, but I love snow!’

Peter Berkley, Berkhamsted: ‘I can recall many white Christmases as a child. We would get up in the morning and go sledging and make snowballs. But my opinion has changed now – breaking legs in the ice is not so fun.’
Diane Rance, Adeyfield: ‘I had a white Christmas when I was really young, but it’s usually afterwards that we get snow. I would like to see a white Christmas because my 10 year old loves it, and we go out on the sledge.’
