Volunteer Centre Dacorum and the Big Help Out to mark the King's coronation

To mark His Majesty The King’s Coronation, thousands of charities and not-for-profit groups are raising awareness of volunteering opportunities available within local communities.

The Big Help Out will highlight the positive impact volunteering can have on individuals, groups and the wider community, focusing on three key benefits: wellbeing, connectedness and employability.

As part of the Kings Big Help Out Initiative we have compiled a list from our many registered volunteers of those who are willing to do “one off” event volunteering, so if you have an event either on the Coronation weekend or any other time throughout the year we can find you volunteers to support it who have all had their ID and 2 references checked.

Here at the Community Action Dacorum Volunteer Centre at the Roundhouse on the Marlowes in Hemel Hempstead we are opening on the 8th May from 10am for anyone wishing to come along and look into volunteering at the many voluntary/community organisations in the borough.

Joining us outside on the day, will be volunteers from the Rotary Club of Hemel Hempstead who will be there to chat about the varied and interesting volunteering opportunities they have available to support the amazing work they do in the community. They will also be happy to make you a cup of tea to go with the home made cakes they are bringing to the party!
