Challenge Yourself: Become a trustee at the Citizens Advice Bureau

As one of our Board of Trustees, your responsibilities will include overseeing the development and financial management of the Bureau and ensuring the sustainability of our quality services for the local community.

Citizens Advice help people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent and confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers.

Volunteers with Fundraising or marketing skills are particularly needed at the moment and you may be offered the opportunity to join a specialised sub committee.There are 4 meetings each year (Nov/Mar/Jul) plus the AGM in the autumn.

Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the UK.

They build girls ‘confidence, raise their aspirations and offer a chance to discover their full potential.

There are two Brownie units in Berkhamsted District that are currently looking for new leaders.

Second Northchurch Brownies would like either a Unit Helper or someone willing to train to be an Assistant Brownie Guider. First Potten End are looking for someone to willing to train to a 
Brownie Guider.

If you have the desire to teach new skills and the resourcefulness to help with activities including craft, cooking, music and outdoor events, there could be a role for you with Girlguiding West Hertfordshire.

Volunteer Centre Dacorum
