RAF Halton marched through Hemel Hempstead on Sunday exercising their right to Freedom of the Borough granted in 2009.

The parade, led by The Band of The Royal Air Force Regiment, started on the Old Town at 11.15am.

It paused at St Mary’s Square for a military spitfire flypast before addresses by Dacorum Mayor Allan Lawson and RAF Halton’s station commander.

The parade, which celebrates the borough’s formal link with RAF Halton, then continued past the Civic Centre in Marlowes before coming to a halt in Dacorum Way just after midday.

RAF Halton was the first regiment to receive the honour of the Freedom of the Borough of Dacorum.
