Athena Holidays, based in the same offices as TravelTime World, is filling the void left by larger coach companies and is appealing to clients who want to use a local company that understands their needs.

Owner Jackie Steadman, who runs the business with chairman of the Berkhamsted and district Chamber of Commerce David Steadman, said: “This is a momentous year for Travel Time World, celebrating our ongoing successful travel agency business where we work closely with small independent tour operators.

“We spotted a gap in the market, with clients looking to book with someone who could provide personal service and avoid the major interchanges, saving time on a short coach holiday.”

The business celebrated its 21st anniversary with an afternoon tea and a dinner, and raised more than £1,000 for the Hospice of St Francis.
