Have you been offered stolen quad bike?

A distinctive quad bike was stolen from a village driveway overnight on Friday.

A quad bike is recognised is a vehicle with four wheels and a mass of less than 550 kg, requiring a a B1 licence as well as tax, insurance and registration to drive on UK roads.

The red quad bike, which has ‘Taylors Tools’ stickers on the side, was stolen from outside a home in The Grove, off Langley Road, between 6pm on Friday and 9.30am the following morning.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the gadget – the value of which is unknown – or has been offered it for sale or knows of its whereabouts.

Equally, anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious around the time of the theft should call investigating PCSO Ian Martin on the police non-emergency number 101, quoting the crime reference D1/14/6833.
