The village’s Rumblers Farm Shop showed off a bumber crop of the seasonal produce, which has been flying off the shelves ready to be carved in time for Halloween.

Jenny Hilsdon and husband Barny grew all the pumpkins on the farm and are particularly pleased with this year’s turnout.

Jenny said: “We grow pumpkins every year and this was a particularly good one.

“Pumpkins need good sunshine and a lot of rain and both came at the right times this year.

“Children and adults alike have been squealing with delight when they see the pumpkins – they’re not what you get in the supermarkets, they’ve never seen pumpkins this big.

“We’ve done fantastically well – the pumpkins have almost sold out.”

The family have been also been busy carving some of their own pumpkins for display – click here to check them out on the shop’s Facebook page.
