The event on Saturday at Ashlyns School in Berkhamsted has so far raised £2,000 for Keech Children’s Hospice, which will mean the total raised in Lexi’s name is now more than £23,000.

On the day, the children’s football tournament was won by Comets Yellows and Doves United were the winners in the adult tournament for a second time.

An ongoing online auction via Facebook page ‘Lexi Keech Charles-Kerr’ is expected to bring in more money for the hospice and parents Sam and Danny Kerr, of Berkhamsted, are already planning their next event for Keech.

They want to continue to host fun events that raise money and provide quality time for families.

Baby Lexi survived just 19 days due to complications at birth in 2011. Danny and Sam were able to spend those precious days at Keech Children’s Hospice with Lexi and since her death have worked to fundraise in her memory.
