Did you witness racial attack outside train station?

British Transport Police officers have today launched a witness apeal to trace a man who racially abused a man near Berkhamsted railway station.

The incident is alleged to have happened at around 9pm on Thursday, September 4 at the Choice Taxis office, based at the terminus.

Investigating officer PC Mark Holland said: “The victim, a 24-year-old member of office staff at Choice Taxis, was racially abused by a man who walked past the window at the taxi office.

”This happened in front of other customers who were waiting for taxis. The man also shouted further racist abuse towards the victim as he walked away from the location.”

The man who reportedly shouted the racial abuse is described as Asian, aged between 30 and 40, about 5ft 7ins tall and of large build.

He had a variety of tattoos on both of his arms and his chest, piercings in his ears, nose and lip and was wearing a black baseball cap, black T-shirt and blue jeans.

PC Holland added: “I am today appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the person responsible to come forward and contact police.”
