Did you help alleged rape victim?

Were you the woman who came to the assistance of an alleged rape victim last month?

The incident took place early on the evening of Saturday, May 21, after 5pm.

The alleged victim had left an address and sat on the pavement in Leys Road where she was approached by a female driver who stopped and spoke to her before giving her a lift to an address.

Police are now keen to speak to this driver.

PC Kylie Smith said: “We have made several enquiries into this incident and we now need to trace this woman as she may be able to assist us with the investigation.

“If this was you, please get in touch via the Hertfordshire Constabulary non‐emergency number 101, quoting crime reference D1/16/3652.”
