Two arrested after vehicles were stolen from Hemel Hempstead driveway

Two people have been arrested after a BMW and a van were burgled from a Hemel Hempstead driveway.

The black BMW and the Peugeot Partner van were stolen from an address in Gadebridge in the early hours of Sunday, January 12. The van was later recovered in Houghton Regis.

A 22-year-old man of no fixed address and a 59-year-old woman from Houghton Regis have both been arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Detective sergeant David Walker, from the Dacorum Local Crime Unit, said: “This incident is the latest in several across Dacorum at the weekend and I’d like to reassure the community that detectives are working to thoroughly investigate each incident.

“Supporting them in this are scenes of crime officers, crime analysts and officers from both the Safer Neighbourhood Teams and intervention teams.

“We have stepped up patrols across the borough and we are pleased to share that we have made these two arrests in relation to one of the offences.

“My team and I will continue to do all we can to catch up with those who are committing these offences. Burglary can have a long-lasting impact on the victims and we are offering support to those affected.
