Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police, a Hemel Hempstead man has been sentenced for drug offences and possession of criminal property.

Omar Dean, aged 27, of Midland Road, in Hemel Hempstead, pleaded guilty to one count each of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, possession of cannabis, and possession of criminal property at Oxford Crown Court this week, police announced this afternoon.

He was sentenced on the same day to seven and a half years imprisonment.

Dean was charged on 23 January this year.

It relates to offences that took place between September 2019 and January 2020, in locations including Abingdon, Didcot and Wallingford.

Investigating officer, PC Tom Mason of the Tasking Team based in Abingdon police station, said: “I am pleased that Omar Dean has admitted the charges against him, and been sentenced accordingly.

“We worked hard to present strong evidence against Dean, which has resulted in him pleading guilty and receiving this sentence of imprisonment.

“Through our Stronghold campaign Thames Valley Police will continue to work in partnership to tackle serious organised crime and to stop those who seek to exploit vulnerable people for their own means.

“Combating drugs supply is always a top priority for Thames Valley Police, and we will actively seek to disrupt organised drug supply to protect our communities.

“I am pleased that Dean no longer has the opportunity to supply drugs in the community, which can cause immeasurable damage.”
