Police are investigating after a man reportedly exposed himself and was believed to be touching himself inappropriately in Hemel Hempstead.

The incident occurred along the canal tow path, in the field between Lawn Lane and Durrants Hill Road, at around 6.40pm on Wednesday, June 23.

A member of the public was walking along the path, towards King Langley, when she saw a man in some bushes on the opposite side of the canal. He is reported to have exposed himself and was believed to be touching himself inappropriately.

He is described as white, aged around 30 to 35 years old, of average build, approximately 6ft tall, with blonde hair. He was wearing a black face mask.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information.

PC Jake Smith, who is investigating, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen someone matching this description to please contact police.

"I’d also like to hear from anyone else who may have information which could assist our ongoing enquiries.”
