Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Hemel Hempstead

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in Hemel Hempstead last night (Sunday).
Officers were called at around 9.20pm following an incident in Squires Ride.

It was reported that two men had entered the victim’s property and assaulted him before making off.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: "Officers attended and discovered a man with an injury to his head, suspected to be a knife wound.
"The ambulance service also attended and the man was taken to hospital for treatment.
"Officers completed a thorough search of the surrounding area, with support from the BCH Armed Policing Unit, the BCH Dog Unit and National Police Air Service, but no suspects were traced.

"Officers are currently conducting extensive enquiries to identify the offenders."
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, and an ambulance officer vehicle were called to an address in Hemel Hempstead on Sunday (August 16) following reports that a man had been stabbed.
"One patient was transported to Watford General Hospital for further assessment and care."
