Man arrested after police chase in Hemel Hempstead

A 24-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead has been arrested after a police chase in Hemel Hempstead last night (Tuesday, July 20).

At around 10.20pm officers attempted to stop a vehicle in Cambrian Way, Hemel Hempstead.

The vehicle made off before colliding with a low brick wall a short time later.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: "The occupant decamped. No one sustained any injuries.

"Officers completed a thorough search of the surrounding area, with support from the BCH Dog Unit and the National Police Air Service.

"One person, a 24-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, driving whilst uninsured and driving without a licence. He remains in police custody at this time."
