Mr Taylor had faced the charge after a woman was found with serious head injuries in Parr Crescent on Tuesday, September 29, last year.

She has since made a full recovery from her injuries, police said.

Mr Taylor did, however, plead guilty to breach of a non-molestation order and was sentenced to 20 months in prison.

The judge also granted an indefinite restraining order.
