Former Hemel Hempstead nursery worker admits to making indecent images of children
A nursery worker from Hemel Hempstead, working with youngsters in the Dacorum area, has admitted to making indecent images of children.
At a hearing in St Albans Crown Court yesterday, Zara Lancashire, 20, admitted to four counts of distributing indecent images of children, three counts of making indecent images of children, and four counts of publishing an obscene article via a chat application.

Lancashire will be held in custody until a sentencing hearing which is scheduled for St Albans Crown Court on March 5.
Prior to her arrest Lancashire worked at Flower Pots Day Nursery in Kings Langley.
Detective Chief Inspector James Howarth, from Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Public Protection Command, said: “Zara Lancashire has admitted to serious offences committed while in a position of trust. We welcome that she will now be brought to justice.
“I want to reassure the public and parents of the nursery that following a thorough investigation by my detectives, which involved speaking to over 100 parents and guardians, no evidence was found relating to any child who attended Flower Day Pots Nursery. All of Lancashire’s offences were committed online. I would like to thank those parents and guardians for their patience and cooperation during what was understandably a very worrying time.”
