Family pet killed after being shot by air weapon in Hemel Hempstead

Officers are appealing for information

Police are investigating the death of a family per in the Gadebridge area of Hemel Hempstead.

Willow, who was only five years old, was found with an air weapon injury to her head which proved to be fatal.

Willow was found in the vicinity of Plantation Walk.

PC Curtis Banks of the local Safer Neighbourhood Team said: "This was an horrific experience for Willow's owner. She was a friendly cat that liked to wander but would always come home.

"Sadly someone has cruelly taken her away from her family. I urge anyone with information to please get in touch."
