Officers investigating a theft from a shop and an assault in Apsley have released images of a man they would like to identify as part of their enquiries.

It happened at Sainsbury’s supermarket on London Road at 4.50pm on Wednesday, May 20.

Three men entered the store and took a selection of alcohol and printer cartridges from the shelves before leaving without making any attempt to pay.

A member of staff, a man in his 40s, attempted to stop them leaving the store but was assaulted before being bitten on the arm.

The suspects then left in a blue Vauxhall.

PCSO William Liddell, from the Kings Langley and Hemel Hempstead South East Safer Neighbourhood Team: said: “Thankfully the victim was not injured following the assault but he was understandably left shaken by what happened.

“We have made extensive enquiries and are now releasing these images of a man we believe has information that could assist our enquiries.
