7 charged with murder two years on from Kings Langley killing

Seven people have been charged with murder in connection with the killing of a 30-year-old in Dacorum.

Nearly two years on from the death of Mustapha Jatta in Kings Langley in September 2024, Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed it has charged 11 people, seven with murder, in connection with the fatality.

Mustapha was shot in Railway Terrace at around 12.45am on September 17, 2024. He died as a result of the wounds suffered during the incident.

Detective Inspector Adam Bridges, from the BCH Major Crime Unit, said: "These charges mark a significant milestone in an investigation that has been ongoing for almost two years.

"Since Mustapha's murder, detectives and staff have worked tirelessly to build a detailed picture of the circumstances surrounding this incident, examining all available lines of enquiry and reviewing substantial amounts of evidence.

"Our focus throughout has been on securing the best possible evidence and seeking answers for Mustapha's family, who continue to feel the devastating impact of his loss. I would like to thank them for their patience and support during what has been an incredibly difficult period.

"Criminal proceedings are now active and I would remind people that all those charged are entitled to a fair trial. We would therefore ask the public not to speculate about the case or share information online that could prejudice the court process."
