Challenge Yourself: Volunteering opportunities for the New Year
Age UK Dacorum
If you’re thinking of volunteering in the New Year why not help out at a new fun and stimulating club for older people with mild to moderate memory problems in Kings Langley or Hemel Hempstead?
COGS clubs are run by Age UK Dacorum and are based on a programme of structured activity that has been found to help improve social relationships and self-esteem of people with mild to moderate dementia.

No specialist skills are needed but if you can help club members to feel welcome and at ease, make the tea and assist with clearing up then Age UK Dacorum would love to hear from you. The lower age limit for this role is 18.
Three bags full, please!
We urgently need your spare wool to help our new knit and natter group keep going?
We have a happy band of volunteers who knit and crochet at home and a new group that meet at the Roundhouse in the Marlowes.

If you have any wool to donate or would like to become a volunteer knitter, we would love to hear from you.
Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
The Volunteer Centre Dacorum will close for the Christmas break on Monday, December 22 and will open again on Monday, January 5 2015.
If you’re thinking about volunteering in the New Year why not call in at our centre in the Marlowes when we’re next open.
