A shopper captured this photo of the stranded lorry in the car park of garden centre, Woods of Berkhamsted, after the driver tried to navigate the tight corner.

The shopper, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “He made a delivery at the garden centre but I don’t think he’s been here before, so I don’t think he realised how tight the corner was.

“I’ve bought a coffee because it’s a waiting game – I can’t get my car out.”

The shopper said staff at the nearby Waitrose – whose car park joins on with Woods’ – were being ‘very helpful’ directing the traffic around both car parks despite the obstruction.

It is believed the lorry has now been able to make its way out of the car park and all is clear.
