A driver was rushed to hospital after his car crashed into a newsagents this morning (Monday, March 7).

Paramedics were called to Queens Square in Adeyfield, Hemel Hempstead, at 9.28am.

A Ford Fiesta had crashed into the front of The Sun newsagents but the driver was out of the vehicle when the emergency services arrived.

The driver, a man in his 70s, has been taken to Watford General Hospital for further treatment.

Five others, believed to be customers and staff inside the shop, were treated for minor injuries at the scene but they did not require hospital treatment.
