Call goes out for Herts artists to open their doors

Herts Visual Arts will be holding the 26th annual Open Studios event from September 3 to 25, and artists have until March 31 to sign up.

After celebrating 25 years of Open Studios last summer, Herts Visual Arts have appointed a new project manager, Lucinda Rowe, and marketing co-ordinator, Kelly Pedlar.

The website is being overhauled reauy to launch in time for 2016 Open Studios.

Each year, about 200 artists take part in Herts Open Studios and there are around 11,000 studio visits.

Open Studios is open to professional and amateur visual artists, craft makers and designers living or working in Hertfordshire.

The cost to participate in the three-week event is £99 for Herts Visual Arts members, which includes an entry in the 25,000 colour brochures distributed free of charge across Hertfordshire.
