Author – and brother of world wide web inventor – to talk about threat of carbon emissions

The event will begin at 7.30pm, though food by nearby Dar Papillon tea rooms will be served from 7pm. The talk has been organised by Transition Town Berkhamsted.

Mike Berners-Lee is described as ‘a world-leading thinker in what is worth doing to reduce carbon emissions and halt man-made climate change’.

He wrote ‘How Bad Are Bananas? The carbon footprint of everything’ and ‘The Burning Question’. Both are about the danger of carbon emissions and what we can do to reduce them.

In his spare time, Mike Berners-Lee runs Small World Consulting and lectures at Lancaster University.

His talk is one of many in the Transition Conversation – formerly called Ashlyn Conversation – series, which are organised by Transition Town Berkhamsted.
