Amazon donates cash to Salvation Army
The charity has used part of the donation, which was given to them just before Christmas, to buy music stands for future rehearsals and performances.
Some of the money bought items for local people, including presents for the elderly and selection boxes for children.

The visiting Amazon team also helped wrap lots of presents for local people on behalf of the Salvation Army.
Amazon Hemel Hempstead’s general manager, Henry Low, said: “The Salvation Army is a very important charity for our community here in Hemel Hempstead and we’re delighted to make this donation.
“I hope the musicians enjoy their new equipment and I’m looking forward to attending a future performance.”
