There will be rolling road closures along routes into the area through Berkhamsted and Chesham and out through Potten End while the race passes, which is expected to be between 2pm and 4pm on Friday.
The Leighton Buzzard Road – alongside the venue for the Tour’s sixth-stage finish in Gadebridge Park – will be closed from 8pm on Thursday, September 11 to 6am on Saturday, September 13.
The closure will affect the stretch of the road between the roundabout between the Link Road and Galley Hill, and the roundabout linking Queensway and Warners End Road.
Diversions will be signposted and drivers are advised to plan their journeys in advance to avoid the disruption.

Additionally, the main Gadebridge Park car park, off Leighton Buzzard Road, will be closed from Wednesday evening until late on Friday September.
Celebrations will be taking place in the park from noon until 6pm, including organised cycling activities, a children’s funfair, stalls and food and drink, as the group of elite cyclists make their way to the town from Bath from 10am the same day.
The stage will be one of the longest of the entire tour at more than 200km.
The Gadebridge Splash Park campaign group will also be present during the day, offering face-painting and a raffle with prizes including tickets to the San Marino match at Wembley. The group will be raising awareness of their wish to have a splash park installed in the park, and will be selling specially-designed wristbands.
All the action from the cycle race – Britain’s biggest free-to-spectate sporting event – will be filmed live and shown on ITV4, and also shown on big screens at the stage finish.
