Berkhamsted cadets joined marathon walk to raise thousands for fellow cadet

Cadets from Berkhamsted were among a group of cadets who took part in a marathon walk on Saturday, August 1, to raise money to support a fellow cadet.

Senior cadets from 3 Company Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Army Cadets took part in the challenge at the weekend, with a £1,000 target in mind, to help a Rickmansworth cadet.

The cadets from Berkhamsted, St.Albans, Rickmansworth, Leavesden Green and Watford walked from a point on the Grand Union Canal in Aylesbury to finish at Rickmansworth Aquadrome.

The cadets took on the challenge to raise money for a fellow cadet at Rickmansworth detachment who suffers from Scoliosis, the funds will be used for an operation to improve her way of living.

The cadets beat their target and raised £2,042. This amount has been added to the overall fundraising, currently over halfway to it’s target of £75000.
