Virtual cook-along with MasterChef contestant to raise money for Hertfordshire mental health charities

Mental health charities in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes are joining together with a MasterChef participant to provide an Italian cook-along to raise money for mental health support.

Demand for mental health services in the last three months has doubled with loneliness being one of the key contributing factors to poor mental health.

To try and meet this growing need, Hertfordshire Mind Network, Mind in Mid Herts and Mind BLMK, have come together to provide the ultimate fundraiser.

Today (March 18), Sofia Gallo will be live and helping participants to cook their very own butternut squash risotto with crispy sage along with a tasty dessert of vanilla gelato and on March 25 they will be coming together to create porcini mushroom risotto and chocolate gelato.

Both cook-along dates will start at 6.30pm for a minimum donation charge of £17.50 (per event) to take part.

Participants will be provided with a welcome pack which includes the ingredients required to cook the dishes.
