Here's some of the beer gardens in Hemel, Berkhamsted and Tring YOU cannot wait to socialise in when lockdown eases

We asked our readers to nominate their favourite beer garden in Dacorum

One of the things we are all looking forward to is that first drink in the sun with our family and friends when lockdown eases.

There are plenty of great beer gardens across Hemel Hempstead, Tring and Berkhamsted, that you cannot wait to visit, once lockdown restrictions start to ease.

The Gazette asked readers to tell us which beer garden they were most looking forward to returning to, after April 12, when hospitality venues will be allowed to serve people outdoors.

There were plenty of votes, and the stand out winner was Martins Pond in Potten End.

Here are a few of the comments made about the pub by our readers:

Ade Festa Allistone-smith said: "Martins Pond, Potton End. Friendly, great beer, also COVID safe."

Deborah Burke said: "Martins Pond. They did such a great job over the summer in trying to lift everyone spirits with their cocktails and pizza. I will be back for sure.

Lee Bryant said: "Martins Pond for me. They managed things so safely and well last July when we came out of lockdown. Will definitely be back there in April

Sandie Young said: "Martins Pond. Warm, friendly staff and atmosphere. Always working hard to bring new themes and events when they can. Great pub!

Karen McEwen said: Martins Pond Potten End, great traditional pub, fab food, friendly staff and wonderful landlady. They diversified last year when allowed to reopen, used the green opposite pub had pizza van and ice cream van plus cocktail tent, the best time during reopening. Cant wait for more if the same."

Jayne Robinson-Hood said: "Martins Pond, Potten End. Keeps our village alive."
