Primark confirms stores will open for 24 hours in December when national lockdown lifts - the list in full

Primark has confirmed it will be opening several of its stores for 24 hours when the national lockdown is lifted on 2 December.

The high street retailer announced plans to open for extended hours earlier this month, after non-essential shops were forced to close their doors for a four-week period.

These plans will now go ahead, giving shoppers across England a chance to catch up on some Christmas shopping when stores reopen next week.

Extended shopping hours

Primark will reopen all of its stores in England on Wednesday 2 December, with extending trading hours to be in place in all locations.

All outlets in retail parks and major shopping centres will trade until 10pm, while a selected number will remain open as late as midnight.

The move comes as part of efforts to cater for the anticipated higher customer demand over the festive season.

It is intended that the extended shopping hours will help to increase customer safety by managing the rush and reducing queues, allowing people to social distance more easily.

A total of 11 stores will stay open for 24 hours as of 7am on 2 December until closing time on 3 December.

All remaining stores across England will trade until at least 8pm on weekdays, or 10pm in major stores, until 23 December.
