Berkhamsted Rotary Santa Sleigh committee would like to thank the Berkhamsted community for supporting Santa and his elves this December.

Whilst Santa's Sleigh had to retire to the North Pole yesterday evening having entered Tier 4, Berkhamsted Rotary are delighted that the public have helped them to raise just over £12,000 for local charities and causes.

A spokesperson for Berkhamsted Rotary said: "This year we lost our lead Santa Marshall Matthew Minors to COVID-19.

"We were therefore determined to ensure we did all we could to make Matthew proud by working hard to make sure the sleigh could go out.

"The generosity and kindness shown to Santa and his elves this December has been overwhelming and we are delighted that this year we have raised more than in previous years."
