Hide AdHealth bosses have urged the public not to attend vaccination centres without a booking, and should not phone their GP to book a vaccine.
A new vaccination centre recently opened at Speedwell pharmacy in Apsley. As with the mass vaccination centre in Stevenage, appointments at the pharmacy can only be booked through the NHS national COVID-19 vaccination booking system once you have received a letter.
Letters are starting to go out inviting patients aged 70 and over, and those who have health conditions that make them clinically extremely vulnerable (also known as "shielded patients"), to book appointments through the national booking system.
Patients who would rather be vaccinated at the GP-led centre on Maxted Road in Hemel Hempstead can wait for an invitation from their GP practice.
