Dacorum neighbourhoods with highest Covid-19 death toll a year into the pandemic

Dacorum' s neighbourhoods worst hit by the Covid-19 pandemic have been revealed in the first annual death toll of the virus.

The data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) covers a 12-month period from March 2020 to February 2021.

In the 12 months from March 2020, to February 2021, 304 people in Dacorum died due to Covid-19, according to data published by the ONS – a rate of 201 per 100,000 people.

The peak month for deaths was January when 105 were recorded.

Across the East of England, 12,918 people lost their lives to the virus – 194 deaths per 100,000 people.

The figures are for recorded deaths where Covid-19 was registered as the main cause.
