Dacorum has recorded 189 new positive Covid-19 tests since Thursday evening.

The total for the borough is now 2,482, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The incidence rate over the last 7 days is 164.8 per 100,000 population (the period represented is the 7 days ending 5 days before December 14).

The number of coronavirus cases has risen by 1,773 since Thursday, and now stands at 21,992.

Yesterday, four areas of Hertfordshire were placed into 'Very High' level (Tier 3) of Covid-19 restrictions, but Dacorum remains in Tier 2 for now. Read full story here.

There have been no new deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 117, and there have been 1,037 deaths in total in Hertfordshire, according to Public Health England.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 1,869,666, and the number of deaths is 64,402.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
