Covid-19 update: Six new cases recorded in Dacorum in just 24 hours

Dacorum recorded six new positive Covid-19 cases today (June 1).

The total for the borough is now 8,664, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

In Hertfordshire, 41 new cases were recorded - the total is now 77,747.

There have been no new Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 321, according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test) - and zero deaths recorded in the rest of the UK for the first time since the pandemic began.

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

In the UK, as of today, 39,477,158 people have received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 25,734,719 have received their second dose.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 3,165 and now stands at 4,490,438. The number of deaths still stands at 127,782.
