Covid-19 update: Here's how many new cases were recorded in Dacorum over the bank holiday weekend

Dacorum recorded nine new positive Covid-19 cases over the bank holiday weekend.

The total for the borough is now 8,658, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

In Hertfordshire, 115 new cases were recorded - the total is now 77,706.

There have been no new Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 321, according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

In the UK, as of Monday (May 31), 39,379,411 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for Covid, and 25,537,133 had received their second dose. ​

The new figures are recorded between 5pm the previous day to 5pm and unfortunately don't include the number of patients who have recovered from Covid-19.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases now stands at 4,487,339. The number of deaths is 127,782.
