Covid-19 latest: here's how many new cases were recorded in Dacorum today
Hertfordshire records 35 new cases
Dacorum recorded seven new positive Covid-19 cases today (May 20).
The total for the borough is now 8,627, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
The incidence rate over the last 7 days has decreased from 11.6 per 100,000 to 9.7 per 100,000 population (the period represented is the 7 days ending May 15).
On May 13, the incidence rate was 17.4 per 100,000 population (the 7 days ending May 8).
In Hertfordshire, 35 new cases were recorded today - the total is now 77,299.
Here's a daily breakdown of the figures in Dacorum for the last seven days:
> May 13 - six cases
> May 14 - five cases
> May 15 - two cases
> May 16 - zero cases
> May 17 - three cases
> May 18 - five cases
> May 19 - two cases.
According to Public Health England there was one confirmed COVID-19 patient in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, May 18, and no patients were on a mechanical ventilation bed.
There have been no new Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 321, according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).
In the UK, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,874 to 4,455,221. The number of deaths has risen by seven to 127,701.
As of May 19, in the UK, 37,250,363 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 21,239,471 had received their second dose.
And in Dacorum, 85,387 people had received their first dose of the vaccination and 47,238 people had received their second dose.
The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Tuesday, May 18, and 5pm on Wednesday, May 19.
