Covid-19 latest: Dacorum records six new positive cases in the last 24 hours

Dacorum recorded six new positive Covid-19 cases today (May 13).

The total for the borough is 8,630, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The incidence rate over the last 7 days has increased from 15.5 per 100,000 to 17.4 per 100,000 population (the period represented is the 7 days ending May 8).

On May 6, the incidence rate was 18.1 per 100,000 population (the 7 days ending April 30).

There have been 34 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 77,227.

According to Public Health England there were two confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, May 11, and no patients were on a mechanical ventilation bed.

There have been no new Covid-related death recorded in Dacorum, the total is 321, according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

In the UK, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,657 to 4,444,631. The number of deaths has risen by 11 to 127,651.

As of May 12, in the UK, 35,906,671 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 18,890,969 had received their second dose.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Tuesday, May 11, and 5pm on Wednesday, May 12.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.
