Coronavirus latest: here's how many new cases were recorded in Dacorum in the last 24 hours

Dacorum has recorded just four new positive Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours of data released this afternoon (April 7).

The total for the borough is now 8,485, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The incidence rate over the last 7 days has increased from 27.1 per 100,000 population to 30.4 per 100,000 population(the period represented is the 7 days ending April 2).

Here is a breakdown of where the confirmed cases were recorded seven days up to April 1.

There have been 31 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now76,280.

Here's a daily breakdown of the figures in Dacorum for the last seven days:

> March 31 - 13 cases

> April 1 - eight cases

> April 2 - four cases

> April 3 - eight cases

> April 4 - 10 cases

> April 5 - five cases

> April 6 - four cases.

According to Public Health England there were 24 confirmed COVID-19 patients in West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust - which manages hospitals in Watford, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans - on Tuesday, March 30, and six were on mechanical ventilation beds.

There have been no new Covid-related deaths recorded in Dacorum, the total is 318, according to Public Health England (deaths within 28 days of positive test).

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 2,763 to 4,367,291. The number of deaths has risen by 45 to 126,927.

As of April 6, in the UK, 31,707,594 people had received the first dose of the vaccination for COVID-19, and 5,683,509 had received their second dose.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Monday, April 5, and 5pm on Tuesday, April 6.
