Coronavirus latest: Dacorum records over 90 new cases today

As of today (December 23), Dacorum has recorded 98 new positive Covid-19 cases.

The total for the borough is now 3,120, according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The incidence rate over the last 7 days is 312.7 per 100,000 population (the period represented is the 7 days ending December 18).

There have been 1,092 new cases in Hertfordshire, the total is now 28,745.

There has been one new death recorded in Dacorum, the total is 121, and there have been 11 new deaths in Hertfordshire, the total is now 1,080 - according to Public Health England.

Nationally, the number of coronavirus cases has risen by 39,237 and now stands at 2,149,551.

The latest R number is estimated at 1.1 to 1.3 with a daily infection growth rate range of +1% to +6% as of December 23.

The number of deaths has risen by 744 to 69,051.

The figures for the number of patients recovered from Covid-19 have not been released by Public Health England.

The new figures were recorded between 5pm on Monday, December 21, and 5pm on Tuesday, December 22.
